Terms of use

These terms cover your use of modelcap.ai, which Model Cap LLC operates. By using the site you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

What the site provides

ModelCap publishes rankings, prices and availability for AI models, compiled automatically from named public sources. A rank is a computed statistic with a stated uncertainty. It is not a promise of how a model will perform on your task. The methodology explains how each figure is produced.

Nothing on the site is investment, legal, financial or purchasing advice. Before you rely on a model, check its current price, terms and suitability with the provider that serves it.

Accuracy and availability

Sources change without notice and can be wrong, and a figure can be out of date by the time you read it; the footer shows when the data was last synced. The site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.

Reusing the data

ModelCap's compilation is licensed under CC BY 4.0: credit ModelCap and link to the page you used. The public dataset page gives the licence, the download formats and a suggested citation. Values that come from a third party, such as a provider's listed price or a leaderboard's result, remain subject to that source's own terms.

Apart from material released under the dataset licence, the site's text and design and the ModelCap name and logo belong to Model Cap LLC. Model names, product names and logos belong to their owners, and their appearance here does not imply endorsement in either direction.

Acceptable use

• Use the downloadable dataset rather than crawling pages at a high rate to collect the same records.
• Do not try to disrupt the site, get around its security, or reach parts of it that are not public. Report vulnerabilities as security.txt describes.
• Do not present ModelCap figures as your own measurements, or suggest that ModelCap endorses a product or service.

Third-party sources, links and markets

The site links to leaderboards, model cards, provider catalogues and other websites that Model Cap LLC does not control and is not responsible for. The release radar and the prediction-markets page show Polymarket prices as third-party context. ModelCap does not operate a market, accept wagers or recommend trading, and market prices never feed a ranking.

Advertising

The site may carry advertising served by Google. An advertisement is not an endorsement, and no advertiser can buy or influence a rank. The editorial policy sets out how the rankings stay independent, and the privacy notice explains the cookies that advertising may use.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Model Cap LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The effective date above identifies the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about them go through the contact page.
