Which LLM ranking lists does ModelCap publish?
Best open-weight LLMs; LLMs with the largest context windows; Cheapest LLM APIs; Best AI models for coding; Free LLM APIs. Each is a filtered, re-ordered view of the same live ModelCap Index, never a separate score.
Which model leads each list right now?
Best open-weight LLMs: GLM 5.2. Largest context window LLMs: Grok 4.20 Multi-Agent. Cheapest LLM APIs: Mistral Nemo. Best AI models for coding: Claude Fable 5. Free LLM APIs: Gemma 4 31B. As of 11 August 2026.
How do these lists relate to the main ModelCap rankings?
The main rankings page is the full ModelCap Index: every current canonical language model with a public position, ordered by Index score with published uncertainty. Each list here starts from that population, keeps the rows that match one published fact (open weights, a free tier, a coding result…) and orders by one published figure (context, price, or the Index rank itself).
How often are the ranking lists updated?
They re-render within a minute of each dataset refresh, so a list always agrees with the live rankings at the same instant; the snapshot date is shown under each heading.
